General rules

  • Applicants must carefully read the funding rules detailed in Section 9 of the COST Vademecum, including Eligibility Rules, Evaluation and Selection of Applicants, Criteria for ITC and Financial Support. We also encourage applicants to read these other relevant documents: the ITC User Guide, the document about Handling Travel Requests, and the Rule of Travel Reimbursement.
  • Applicants must apply using thee-COST platform by completing, submitting, and downloading their Dissemination or ITC Conference grant application online at https://e-services.cost.eu/activity/grants; during this process, applicants will also need to attach specific supporting documents, such as their updated CVs, the certificate of conference acceptance and attendance, the programme of the conference or book of abstracts/proceedings indicating the oral presentation of the grantee, and a copy of the given presentation. If you do not already have an e-COST account, you first need to “create an account,” which includes providing the details for the bank account where the grant will be lodged if your application is approved and the applicant attends the event as intended.
  • Applications and all documents related to applications must be in English.
  • Ideally, the request should be submitted at least 45 days prior to the conference start date.
  • The grant will be paid AFTER the grantee has completed their conference attendance and submitted a scientific report detailing their activities within 30 calendar days after the grant’s end stipulated date. Applicants must keep within the deadlines, or they will not be reimbursed.
