The Gothenburg Museum of Art presents the first exhibition in Sweden with one of the art world’s most celebrated couples, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
The exhibition showcases some thirty central works from the two artists’ production, from the Natasha & Jacques Gelman Collection of Modern Mexican Art, including a number of Frida Kahlo’s best-known self-portraits as well as important and rarely shown oil paintings by Diego Rivera. The presentation also comprises drawings, lithographs, collages and photographs, as well as a film by the Japanese artist Yasumasa Morimura.
