This year’s fantastic film line-up includes a perfect combination of high-profile, insightful, and heartwarming films! Spain’s smash hit starring Javier Bardem, The Good Boss; Pedro Almodóvar’s latest starring Penélope Cruz, Parallel Mothers; the portrait of prominent doctor and human rights activist, Héctor Abad Gómez, directed by Fernando Trueba and Colombia’s submission to the Academy Awards®, Memories of My Father; an eye-opening documentary on Ecuadorians resistance to China’s appropriation of their natural resources, This Stolen Country of Mine; a humanistic vision of life and hope in a Chilean detention center for minors, My Brothers Dreams Awake; a joyful exploration of marriage and cinema, A Film About Couples; a heartwarming portrayal of a man and his canine family, Seven Dogs; and two luminous stories of acceptance: the tender coming-of age Sublime; and the glowing portrait of a woman’s transfeminine experience, My Emptiness and I.
